Onwards, and Upwards! Highlights of 2017 and a Glimpse of the Future
As we embrace the holiday season and reflect back on 2017, it’s important to celebrate what we achieved this year and recap some updates, events and information that were relevant to improve teamwork and help you achieve your goals.
We consider this to have been one of our most successful years and would not be here without the trust, support and loyalty from our valued customers and partners – thank you.
Global Expansion at e-Core
2017 was a milestone in e-Core’s growth, on March 1st we expanded our Office in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Keeping the momentum, we moved to a new office in São Paulo to support the growth we’ve been experiencing with our Atlassian consultancy. On August 1st we had a new home! And you know what’s the best? We’re expanding without losing our DNA.
This year e-Core received the Great Place to Work Brazil award for the 10th year in a row and that’s huge! For 2018, the main goal is to keep expanding and adding more talented people who fit our culture to help our customers achieve their goals and provide the best customer experience.
We started the year with around 200 workers and will close out this year with more than 240 employees worldwide adding people across all departments, including our Application Development Maintenance and Atlassian consulting teams.
Atlassian Updates, New tools and Acquisitions
Year over year, Atlassian invests its efforts on empowering teams and collaboration. 2017 was an important year for this strategy. We can highlight the new members of the collaboration family, Trello, the latest acquisition of Atlassian, and Stride, its new communication and chat tool.
Atlassian also focused on improving design and usability. The tools have a new look ‘n feel and they announced its new branding at the Atlassian Summit 2017. To read more about important updates from Atlassian this year, click here.

Atlassian Summit and Atlassian Open Forum events recap
Atlassian summit is getting better and better every year. This edition had 128 sessions and more than 150 speakers. 3,600 people attended the event, from more than 900 companies all over the world. This year, at the partners day, e-Core was invited to join a panel discussion and shared some best sales practices with other Atlassian partners. Besides that, the main Atlassian App vendors promoted the Add-on Discovery Day that was important to introduce their tools and to strengthen the relationship as business partners.
e-Core hosted two Atlassian Open Forum’s this year in Tampa and in New York. These events are critical to our success because it’s always important to connect our team with our customers, meet new people, and share our knowledge as an Atlassian Platinum Enterprise Solution Partner. Since Atlassian is investing on Data Center, PPM, ITSM and DevOps, we focused on providing events that talk about these subjects, which may impact your ROI.
Our first event focused on explaining how Atlassian approaches ITSM; the 4 processes that the tools are ITIL certified by PinkVerify/Axelos, and project portfolio management using Portfolio for Jira and BigPicture. To learn more about the Atlassian Lunch n’ Learn and ITSM, click here.
The NY event focused on DevOps and speaking about Trello with their new power-ups that connects Trello boards with Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket, and provides an intuitive way for users to manage projects, while providing managers with the high-level visibility they need to monitor their teams. We closed out the event speaking about how Atlassian tools integrate different areas and support through the whole development cycle.
